About my sculptural method
My sculptures are made with a material-technique that I have developed myself, combining nature latex, unfired clay, metal structures, and in some cases glazed ceramics. This creates an ephemeral material, causing the sculptures to change and decay over time.
I work with these materials since I believe they are a reflection of the time we live in:
A reminder of mortality.
By treating my artworks like bouquets of flowers, something widely accepted and appreciated for its beautiful temporality, I want to put a focus on how nothing will, nor should, last forever.

The making of each sculpture takes a very long time, but I appreciate the process a lot.
Each layer of latex is carefully hand-painted on, and with the most intricate pieces this process alone can take several weeks.
